The Academic Day is from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. This is our school day, a time dedicated to learning. Throughout the academic day, certified Montessori teachers will implement the Montessori curriculum and present lessons to individual students based on their own personal needs. The areas of study will include Practical Life, Sensorial, Math, Science, Geography, Language, Arts, and Music. Additionally, teachers specializing in music, nature, gardening, and Spanish will present learning opportunities in these areas. ‘Line time’ or group activities will be included throughout the day as well. Lunch and a healthy morning snack will be served during the academic day. The academic day includes a 30-minute grace period prior to 8:30 am for drop-off and a 30-minute grace period after 3:30 pm for pick-up, allowing students to be in attendance from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
The Academic Half Day is the same academic day, but is scheduled from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. Morning snacks would be provided and the students will have to be picked up just after lunch. There is a 30-minute grace period prior to 8:30 am for drop-off; however, 12:30 pm is the specified pick-up time.
